We stayed at Hotel Parkside for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The first night we stayed in the standard room and after that we moved to a deluxe room with a view of the elephants. There are 2 elephants, Asakalee and Pujakalee, who live at the hotel and we followed their activities through our window throughout the days. It was magical to have such an experience. The food is of high quality and some days a buffet is available if there are many guests and other days we ordered a la carte off the menu. The hotel has good hot water and wifi as well, however you have to be prepared for outages in the wifi due to power interruptions. This of course is the same through all of Nepal.

Then there is Chitwan National Park, which is of course amazing. There are no guarantees when it comes to nature, but we were lucky to see so many different kind of birds, monkeys, deer, two different species of crocodiles and plenty of rhinos. We recommend the canoe followed by the jungle walk and also the bird watching. The staff were very friendly and we would particularly like to mention Mr Gopal. Mr Gopal took us on the canoe, jungle walk and bird watching. He is a very passionate and knowledgeable guide and we learnt much from him.

We had a great time staying at the Hotel Parkside and recommend it highly to other guests and we will definitely return in the future.
